Miniature Original: The Buck King

30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 11 – The Buck King

Day 11 of 30 – Today is 9/11, there’s a solemn feeling in the air here in New York City.

As I get further into these daily paintings I’m surprised about where the subjects have taken me, there’s a definite reoccurring theme of animals. I’m looking forward to working on some slightly larger pieces for this weekend’s paintings too.

Today’s miniature painting is titled: The Buck King. I imagine he’s a sort of spirit animal, a guiding light in dark times. A companion we can all have a need for during our lifetime. He is is painted in Gouache on Canvas Paper and measures 2.5″ x 3″.
