Traditional gouache painting of a mermaid petting a seacow.

30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 15 – The Mermaid and the Sea-cow

Today marks the halfway point of this challenge so I wanted to do a more involved piece.

Those who have followed me on Instagram may be familiar with the Mermaid-who-came-to-tea, she’s revisited my sketches many times during the last month. There’s a story there somewhere, not quite sure what she wants to tell yet though.

Here she is with her dear friend the Sea-cow. A fantastic companion for any mer-creature.

This small painting comes ready to hang in a beautiful 11″ x 9″ frame. The Mermaid and the Sea-Cow is painted in gouache on watercolor paper and measures 5″ x 7″.
