Original Miniature: The Angry Bluebirdlet

30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 4 – The Angry Bluebirdlet

Day 4, today’s subject is near and dear to my heart: Birds with horns! I find them immensely enjoyable to draw and paint.

As the ‘Finding Wonderland’ theme has progressed I’m noticing a pattern of creatures. I’ve also discovered I enjoy the drawing process much more than the painting, I think parts of that have to do with that I’m just more practiced at drawing – traditionally anyhow. When I work digitally it’s the other way around.

Nonetheless I had a lot of fun painting this little guy and I foresee more horned birds in the future.

You should make links to go from one day to the next easier so site visitors don’t have to jump around

I wish I knew how to do that, Rosa, but I’m using a prescripted wordpress theme and know absolutely nothing of coding myself.

So after a few hours of trial and error I’m happy to say I’ve gotten this added upon your suggestion 🙂

I love his expression! Kind of like mine right now…….trying to get ahead enough to get a painting ready to photograph and upload! I’m not usually very fast so this has been a REAL challenge.

You can do it! I’ve been surprised at how time consuming the “30 in 30” actually is. Fingers crossed you manage to get ahead, Lori 🙂
