Personal Work: An Adventure Beginning

Here are a few new illustrations I made for a book pitch that didn’t go through. Although the publisher liked the illustration, they were looking for a different direction because of the audience. That’s fairly common in publishing and I’m fortunate that I’ve been given a second chance to put something together for it.

I did a handful of illustrations for this project, but cannot show them all just yet as some of them might be used. Nonetheless I really had fun developing these characters, although they won’t be used for this book. Maybe I can use them for something else down the line!

Now back to the drawing board.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”row” type=”full_width” icon_pack=”font_awesome” content_menu_fe_icon=”arrow_back” text_align=”left” padding_top=”10″ padding_bottom=”10″][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”20296″ border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”row” type=”full_width” icon_pack=”font_awesome” content_menu_fe_icon=”arrow_back” text_align=”left” padding_top=”10″ padding_bottom=”10″][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”20281″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

These are beautiful. It’s SO difficult to capture the youthful exuberance of children, but you really nailed it with these 🙂
